Heckscher Museum of Art in Huntington, New York
The Heckscher Museum of Art’s collection spans 500 years of Western
art with particular emphasis on the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.  Established in 1920 with a gift from August Heckscher of 185 works, the collection now numbers more than 2500 pieces by American and European artists.  American landscape painting and work by Long Island artists, past and present, are particular strengths, as is American and European modernism.  Photography is a growing part of the collection.

Founded in 1871, the Salmagundi Club is one of the oldest art organizations in the United States. Members have included important American artists such as Thomas Moran, William Merritt Chase, Louis Comfort Tiffany, N.C. Wyeth and Childe Hassam. Housed in an historic brownstone mansion in Greenwich Village, the Club offers programs including a renowned art collection, art classes, exhibitions, painting demonstrations, auctions and more.

Gallery North, Setauket, New York

Established in 1965, Gallery North showcases the vibrant creativity of artists and craftspeople from Long Island and nearby areas. The not-for-profit gallery presents original exhibitions, community events, arts in healthcare and educational programs throughout the year. Located in the historic Setauket area, Gallery North’s pleasant campus welcomes art lovers, collectors and artists.
