Play The Wind by Alex Prager

Last season, Artful Circle visited Lehmann Maupin gallery in Chelsea and enjoyed a fascinating exhibition. There, artist Alex Prager, showcased an 8 minute film she created entitled “Play the Wind”, which could be viewed in a darkened area of the gallery. Also on display were photographs and props used in production of the film.

Note the surrealist quality with dreamlike moments and sensations of motion. Fun fact: the featured actress is none other than Riley Keough (the eldest grandchild of Elvis and Priscilla Presley!) By watching it (perhaps several times), you will gain a deeper understanding of the film, as well as the coordinating items on view in the gallery.
